Neighbourhood Officers, Specialist Teams and Partnership Working to Tackle ASB

Dear Resident, 

Last week, officers from North West NPT carried out operations to tackle anti-social behaviour in their ward areas of Ossett, Horbury, Outwood, Stanley & Wrenthorpe.

The team were joined by specialist officers from the WYP Drone Team, Wakefield District Off-Road Bike team and partner agency HMP NOT-4-ME, at Ossett Skate Park, Green Park, Ossett Precinct, Wrenthorpe Park, Outwood Park and Lofthouse Colliery, where they spoke with youths about the different types of ASB, the effects of such behaviour and the consequences.

There were positive results with several vehicle seizures, as well as intelligence and information, in some cases names were given of youths who have been responsible for causing ASB. NPT officers will be working with colleagues at WMDC ASB Team and are planning visits to some of these youths and their parents in the run up to Halloween.

The team are also planning further partnership days of action in the near future.
